SK Federation of Orani Participates "Araw ng Kabataan 2009"

As what the SK By-Laws mandates, the Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation of Bataan headed by its president, Hon. Carla Katherine C. Pizarro of Pilar conducted the annual celebration of Araw ng Kabataan last December 22, 2008 at Balanga City, Bataan.

The Sanggunaing Kabataan Federation of Orani participate in the said event. It was started through a parade that started in Balanga City plaza to the event's venue- the Bataan People's Center. After some break, an opening program was held where in guest of honor and speker Hon. Enrique T. Garcia, Bataan Provincial Governor have his inspirational message followed by a message of his son Hon. Joet Garcia, Balanga City Mayor. Pizarro, how ever, have her acknowledgement speech.

Street dancing competition hihlighted the event where in the Municipality of Pilar emeregd as the champion, Bagac as the 2nd place and the city of Balanga as the thrid placer. Ceasar Cuayson, Provincial Tourism Officer, Ms. Elenita S. Dador, ES Mapeh in the Division of Bataan, and the Hon. Noli Soriano of Dinalupihan served as the board of judges.

Parlor games put energy in the crowd where in after that, SK Federation National President Jane Cenzoria have her speech of congratulations to every youth.

The event was finished in an exbhition of Basketball League where 1st District vs. 2nd District players become the competitprs. In the end, 1st district bagged the championship.

SHE STANDS AT THE EDGE OF THE EARTH

If chemists aren't able to mix noble gases with other elements, then this lady is a mixture of noble gases.

She is Phylicia Paula P. Nuñez fondly known as "Pipa" by her family members, friends, classmates, and acquaintances. She was born on the 2nd day of March 1992.

She studied at Bataan Learning Center International School on her pre-school days while on her elementary days, she was enrolled at Orani North Central Elementary School then later on, she was transferred in Bataan Montessorri School. After graduating elementary, she continue studying at Subic Montessori School (Pilar Campus) as a high school student. She graduated there with honors and awards. To be specific, she bagged the first honorable mention and the school leadership award.

Time seems to be passed because this young lady is now a freshman college student at De La Salle University. She preferred to took up AB in International Studies Major in Japanese Studies.

Aside from prioritizing her studies, she's still doesnt't made to forget in playing her duties and responsibilities as a young leader very well. In the 2007 Sangguniang Kabataan and Barangay Elections, she won the chairmanship for SK at Brgy. Silahis in the municipality of Orani, Bataan. One month later, she was elected by the members of the Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan in the said municipality as its President where in, aside from being the executive chairman of all SK Chairmen there, she also became an Ex-Officio member of the Sangguniang Bayan ng Orani. Few weeks later, she wins another position but this time, in the Provincial Federation of SK where she was elected as the Assistant Auditor.

Want to know more about her? If yes, well, this lady loves reading books specially Harry Potter and Twilight Series, playing online games, watching movies like Memories of Geisha, Bring It On, My Tutor Friend, and Series of Unfortunate Events. She's also fond of playing badminton and chess during her spare times.

Truly, this young sincere lady is a "Woman of Duties and Responsibilities" possesing good principles in life and in her role as young leader. If you think you are the same with her, she want to tell you something:

"Live your life to the fullest and always put your faith in HIM". Bury to your heart the verse, "If GOD is with you, who could be against with You".

SKF ORANI HOLDS TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITY

As the constitutions mandates that the state shall provide an avenue to enhance the youth's participation in nation building and instill them Filipino values and social responsibility. Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991 establishes the Sangguniang Kabataan as the basic youth organization to promote and implement state policy on youth, and provide the necessary leadership to gear the youth sector towards moral regeneration, love of people, and country.

The Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan of Orani as a mother unit of all local SK Officals within the said municipality conducted a Team Building Activity last September 14, 2008 at the Jungle Joe's World, Subic Zambales organized by the officers of the said federation headed by SKF President Hon. Phylicia Paula P. Nuñez in cooperation with Mayor Benjamin C. Serrano Jr. and the staff of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The one whole day afair was atended by 28 SK Chairmen of the said municipality (only one is not present) who participates actively in all the activities including the fun grouping activity, film showing, tie and rope challenge, obstacle course, mini-survivor challenge, and a memorable lunch where in all participants eat native Filipino dishes through only with their hands.

"I learned a lot and I really enjoy. I, together with all other SKF members do hope that we could have this again next year", Jan-Michael D. Asia, one of the participant and the federation secretary said.

Eventhought tired, still the happiness and enjoyment could be seen to everyone as that day ends.

NUÑEZ PICKED AS NEW SKF PRESIDENT

Orani, Bataan- Phylicia Paula Nuñez, SK Chairman of Brgy. Silahis take her rival to the SK Federation presidential seat after he won in the recently SK Federation Election last December 5, 2007 held at the De Guia's Farm at Brgy. Doña in Orani conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government of the said municipality. She made it over Rachelle Cruz of Brgy. Doña who only got 13 votes while she gathered 15 votes. On the other hand, Rejeana Kaye Pascua of Brgy. Balut was elected as the vice president where she got 16 votes over Gian Carlo B. Santos of Brgy. Pantalan Luma who only got 12 votes.
